DP Clinical, Inc. is a CRO specializing in neurology/CNS (including spinal cord injury), oncology, ophthalmology, infectious disease/vaccines, and rare disease Phase I-IV clinical programs. DP
Clinical provides a full complement of clinical trial services to pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies including trial management, monitoring, data management, biostatistics,
regulatory, safety monitoring and reporting, and medical writing.
Since 1994, they have worked for clients of all sizes: small to large pharmaceutical and biotech companies, academic research institutions, and government sponsors.
As a Trial Interactive customer since 2020, DP Clinical has grown its use of the platform over
time, adopting multiple modules to centralize and streamline its clinical trial operations. The
company partners with Trial Interactive across TMF, Site Management, eFeasibility, and document management needs to efficiently deliver studies for its clients.
Before initiating its partnership with Trial Interactive, DP Clinical utilized both in-house systems and off the shelf QMS products that weren’t built for purpose.
This created more manual work for the CRO team, and also fell short of evolving industry expectations for system compliance standards. Additionally, their client/Sponsor study budgets or funding status often dictated whether manual trackers or proper eClinical technologies could be utilized to manage the study.
Trial Interactive brought DP Clinical onto a 21 CFR Part 11-compliant platform, addressing the compliance gaps in their previous systems while offering an interoperable suite of tools that could grow with them. Over time, DP Clinical expanded its footprint on the platform to include the eTMF, eISF, e-Feasibility, and, more recently, the Document Management System (DMS), which they now use as a document repository for smaller studies and preclinical activity before those documents move into the formal clinical trial process.
Just as important as the technology was the level of support behind it. Trial Interactive’s team took a consultative approach, working directly with DP Clinical to configure systems properly and
ensure each tool was being used to its full potential, rather than simply handing over software and stepping back. This hands-on partnership, paired with flexible, partnership-based pricing, helped make enterprise-grade compliant technology accessible even as DP Clinical weighed lower-cost alternatives.
- Faster site activation: With e-Feasibility, DP Clinical can get surveys out to sites more quickly, accelerating the site activation process and improving visibility into site responses.
- Confidence to move off paper: With Trial Interactive’s guidance, DP Clinical was able to bring
smaller and early-phase studies onto the DMS instead of defaulting to paperbased processes, improving consistency and compliance from the earliest stages of a trial.
- True system interoperability: Connecting the eTMF, eISF, e-Feasibility, and DMS gives DP Clinical a unified, compliant ecosystem instead of fragmented point solutions, a critical need for a CRO managing multiple studies and site relationships.
- Streamlined document flow: eISF allows sites to submit documents directly into the system, which the DP Clinical team can then push into the eTMF, reducing manual handoffs and keeping documentation organized. A document hub option also gives sites added flexibility to access the
system when needed.
- A true technology partnership: Beyond the software, DP Clinical has come to rely on Trial Interactive’s people, particularly hands-on customer success and implementation support, to
solve real business challenges around efficiency, speed, and interoperability.
